The purpose of the Beyond Beauty Scholarship, sponsored by Good Hair Day Salon Owner LaTarah Edmond, to financially assist students studying to become experts in the art and science of improving and beautifying the hair, skin, and nails. African-American, high school graduates in Dallas or Tarrant County who demonstrate a financial need are eligible. This scholarship may be used at a Cosmetology or Barber School licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
