One of the community partnerships I truly enjoy is with the Debutante Program hosted by the Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of teaching a healthy haircare workshop at their kickoff slumber party event. We covered everything from understanding hair traits to proper product selection, choosing hairstyles that complement their hair type, and maintenance tips to keep their crowns healthy and confident.
The Debutante Program is a six-month journey designed to cultivate leadership, unity, community service, and academic excellence in young women through mentorship and life-skills training. It offers high school seniors a rich blend of social, personal, career, and educational development—equipping them to transition successfully into the next chapter of their high school and college journey before they take their bow and are presented to society at the Ball.
It’s always a joy watching these young ladies blossom—from the very first event of Deb season to the moment they shine on stage on presentation night.
And this year was extra special because I had the honor of watching my son serve as an escort to one of the Debutantes. A full-circle moment that made this season even more meaningful.
Congratulations to the 2025 Coterie of Debutantes! #goodhairdaysalon#baasbeauty#hairstylist#baas#hairsalon#debutante#afee#debutantes#debutanteball#healthyhair
