Who would have guessed that I would have become a cosmetologist? Apparently, I had a hidden but natural talent for styling hair. Around the age of fifteen, I started experimenting with popular hairstyles at the time, such as French rolls and microwaveable ponytails. I became pretty good at creating these styles on myself and eventually on my neighborhood friends. So after finishing high school in 1997, I immediately enrolled in the cosmetology program at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Once licensed and successfully working in the salon, I went on to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Simply Marvelous Hair Competition, 1st place in the Head Bangers Hair Competition and voted best salon in the Urban Awards Show. Through out my years as a master cosmetologist and former salon owner, I have always put hair care first and foremost. I believe in continuing education and attending trade shows so that I’m always able to provide trendsetting hairstyles and techniques for my clients. I consider myself a versatile cosmetologist because my creativity and skills are limitless!
